Scott Blum Founder, Chairman and CEO
Scott Blum, entrepreneur and technology leader, has founded several successful technology companies in his career. He is currently Founder, Chairman and CEO of Buy.com. He is also Managing Partner of ThinkTank Holdings LLC, a holding company founded in 1999 located in Jackson, Wyoming. ThinkTank's portfolio companies include Buy.com, Yub.com, Sell.com, TechSpace, Thinkbig Media, and Instant Media. Revelocity was sold to NeoForma (NASDAQ: NEOF) in December 2002, ChannelWave was sold to ClickCommerce (NASDAQ: CKCM) in January 2005, and Commerce5 was acquired by Digital River (NASDAQ: DRIV) in December 2005. By age 21, Scott sold his first company, MicroBanks, a company that manufactured technology enhancement products for IBM PS/2 and Macintosh personal computers. This provided him with the capital to start Pinnacle Micro (NASDAQ: PNCL), a leader and pioneer in the optical and recordable CD industries. Scott's third company, Buy.com, set the record for fastest growing company in U.S. history.
Neel Grover President and COO
Neel Grover joined Buy.com as its President in September 2003, and has served as President of BuyNetwork since March 2003. Prior to this, Neel was with ThinkTank Holdings, a private equity management company, most recently as a General Partner. Prior to joining ThinkTank Holdings, Neel was a Senior Associate in the Business & Technology Departments of the law firms Brobeck, Phleger, & Harrison and Jones, Day, Reavis, & Pogue. Neel received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law, Order Of The Coif, and his B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Irvine where he was Captain of the Men's Tennis Team.
Robert Price CFO
Robert Price joined Buy.com in February 2001. Robert is responsible for our overall financial strategy and activities, corporate planning and analysis, human resources and investor relations. From September 1995 to July 2000, Robert performed various management roles at PairGain Technologies, Inc., a publicly held telecommunications equipment manufacturer, most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. From 1992 until 1995, Mr. Price was the Corporate Controller for Triconex Corporation, a publicly held corporation. Prior to 1992, Robert held financial management positions at both public and privately held companies. Robert received his B.A. from California Polytechnic University, Pomona.
Roger Andelin CIO
Roger Andelin has served as Chief Information Officer since June 2003. From December 2002 until June 2003, Roger was Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining BuyServices, Roger was President and CTO of Aqueduct Inc, an e-commerce service provider and spinout of Buy.com. He is the co-inventor of the e-commerce system used by Aqueduct (patent application # 09/545,076). Roger's experience prior to Aqueduct includes management, sales, and marketing experience with Buy.com, Sun Microsystems, and Sony Electronics. Additionally, he was co-founder and President of Extreme Software, a multimedia software company. Roger received an MBA from Pepperdine University, and a B.S. in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine.
Robb Brock CTO
Robb Brock serves as the company's Chief Technology Officer, and was a co-founder of Buy.com. Robb served as the CTO of Interactive Media where he designed hardware for the digital signage and wayfinding industries. As a consultant, he was instrumental in First American Titles' Intranet, Extranet, and Internet developments. While at Datafaction, Inc., Robb served as Vice President of Software Development and was responsible for the design and development of the company's software, specializing in business management and entertainment accounting. In April of 1991, Robb helped pioneer the Internet by creating the first Internet Service Provider (ISP), CYBER.NET, in Southern California. Robb has been an independent consultant/contractor specializing in PICK software solutions for the Manufacturing, Distribution, Direct Marketing, Photographic Processing, and Accounting industries. Robb holds a B.S. in Computer Science (summa cum laude), and over 23 years of computer hardware and software design experience.
Eoin Matthews- VP Business Development
Eoin Matthews has been with Buy.com since September 2004. Before joining the company, he was a co-founder and VP of Business Development for Metails: a pioneering social-networking site that combined online networking with an innovative shopper rewards program. Metails was acquired by Buy.com in September 2004. Prior to Metails, Eoin worked in the software industry; first with QSET in Ireland and then in the USA where he led technical sales and consulting for the company's proprietary QMS/DMS systems to clients that included Lucent, FAA, Flextronics and Mars Electronics. After QSET, Eoin worked at Digital Self, a Boston-based search software startup, where he was responsible for sales of the company's solutions into leading national and international law firms. Eoin received a B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering from National University of Ireland, Galway.
